Spring Branch ISD

    Spring Branch Independent School District

When Houston area residents talk about the hot schools districts they often mention Katy ISD or the fast

paced growth of Lamar Consolidated or Fort Bend ISD. Still most long-time residents know that Spring

Branch was one of Houston’s shining star school districts. Some past stars may have faded, however,

Spring Branch has continued to be one of the more highly regarded school districts in the Houston metro

    area.

The Spring Branch School District is positioned in the heart of Houston’s growth

Many local economist are predicting the center point of Houston’s growth will be I-10 and Beltway 8. No

school district is positioned to benefit from the economic boom in this area more than Spring Branch ISD.

The new City Center, Memorial Mall and a bounty of luxury shopping and dining are located within or near

the boundaries of the Spring Branch ISD. Additionally, most of the Memorial Villages, and the high priced

homes within them are also serviced by the Spring Branch ISD.

Spring Branch ISD has helped drive up the areas real estate prices

The Spring Branch School District has long held a reputation as a solid school district. In a recent report

the ISD outperformed the state average for TAKS results. Spring Branch also exceeded each

performance index as set by the Texas Education Agency. The school districts history of success has

been a boon for the Memorial area and West Houston for decades.

Many pundits think home prices are driven nationally, they are not. Home prices are also not driven by a

state economy. Local economy does impact home prices of course. However, the largest contributor to

home prices is often school ranking. I have seen a home on one side of a street in Spring Branch literally

sell for twice as much as a home on the other side of the street zoned to an inferior school district. I have

seen home prices within Spring Branch fluctuate greatly based on elementary school zoning.

Spring Branch ISD boast a superior location for home owners

Spring Branch is one of the most highly rated “close in” school districts. Spring Branch is close to

Downtown, the Galleria Shopping and Business District, the City Center and the high paying jobs of the

famous Houston Energy Corridor. There are other phenomenal school districts in the area, however,

most come with a drive that is longer than Spring Branch offers. As mentioned earlier, Spring Branch is

also surrounded by the Memorial Villages. The Memorial Villages of Piney Point, Hedwig VillageBunker

Hill, Hilshire and Spring Valley, offer some of the most sought after homes in the entire Houston Metro

area. The area also offers alternative affordable living like townhomes, garden homes and mid rises.

So, the Spring Branch and Memorial area is a market with a real future. Remember school districts drive

home prices as much as almost any factor. There are few communities that this statement is truer than

within the Spring Branch ISD boundaries. A top flight Realtor® understand the role schools play in home

values. I highly recommend finding a top class real estate professional to help you find a home zoned to

one of the area’s best schools. I can proudly recommend a member of the See TIM Sell Realty Team.
