Big changes are coming Katy’s way. Recently Katy ISD put forth a $748 million bond proposal. In early last November Katy TX residents voted in favor of the bond. The bond was in preparation for massive growth in Katy.
Well Katy is already seeing that growth with businesses, churches, hospitals, and new communities popping up everywhere. One such amazing community will be Young Ranch.
Young Ranch Location
Katy’s newest master-planned community was approved in October of this year. The gorgeous neighborhood will cover 388 acres of recently annexed Katy land.
It will be located south of Interstate 10 between Willow Creek Farms and Anserra on Pederson Road. This will extend all the way to the city’s boundaries to the west.
The amenities in Young Ranch master planned community will rival those of any community in Katy like Cinco Ranch or even Firethorne. There will be around 1,000 homes available to future Katy residents.
The community will feature amazing amenities such as riding and walking trails, parks for children and dogs, as well as ponds and lakes for fishing and maybe even boating. The community has also set aside some land for businesses like daycares, restaurants, and other businesses that will make living in Young Ranch even easier for residents.
Young Ranch Builders
For the residential sections of the community Ryland Homes and Beazer Homes will be splitting the cost of development. Both builders are highly reputable in the Katy area for bringing exceptional homes to buyers. Both builders plan on bringing uniqueness to the homes to match the amazing homes already available.
These builders offer quality homes at reasonable prices for the amenities and construction. Though there is no start date planned for breaking ground, builders hope to start by 2015. The community has been approved by Katy City Council, but the details have not been approved as of yet. Expect this neighborhood to be the buzz very soon though.
Young Ranch Schools
Thanks to the approved Katy ISD bond for $748 million the district will be bringing more schools to accommodate the growing Katy population. One of the newest schools is slated to be built right in the heart of Young Ranch.
Even with a Katy school right in the neighborhood the community will be split evenly between Katy ISD and Lamar Consolidated ISD. Katy has been well known for years for its incredible graduation rate and student to teacher ratio. The new bond will only ensure the district’s success. Lamar Consolidated ISD truly gives Katy a run for its money. The district is the fastest growing district in Fort Bend. In 2013 Lamar received the highest possible academic rating from the Texas Education Agency.
