Katy Bucket List

    It’s no wonder families choose Katy, TX as their home. The schools are amazing, the communities are filled with amazing people, and there’s so much to do here! We’ve compiled a list of all the things to do before you leave Katy! If you can think of anything we missed, let us know!

    Things to do in Katy, Tx

    • Attend a high school football game at Rhodes Stadium and root for your favorite team!
      • Nothing says “Texas” like a football game on a Friday night!
    • Walk the entire length of Katy Mills Mall.
      • It’s basically a giant oval and there are so many shops you’ll be there all day!
    • Dance the night away at Midnight Rodeo
    • Spend an afternoon browsing and reading at a Katy institution: Katy Budget Books.
    • Check out one of the many sparkling public pools like Cinco Ranch’s “The Beach Club”S
      • “The Beach Club” has sand and a sloped entrance that mimics a real beach. There are many neighborhood pools; be sure you have permission to swim before entering though!
    • Spend a Day at Main Event bowling, playing games and laser tag, and just having a great time!
    • Visit Old Katy and go antiquing
    • Spot “Big Tim” on one of his many adventures around Katy.
    • Spend a Saturday touring No Label Brewery.
      • Bring a couple of lawn chairs and sit around while sampling what this brewery has to offer!
    • Go see The Grateful Geezers cover band
    • Drive around Cinco Ranch on Christmas Eve and check out the houses that take Christmas decorating to the next level.
    • Spend the day finding the swimming holes all around Katy
      • No I won’t tell you where they are! That’s half the fun.
      • DISCLAIMER: Do not jump or dive off the cliffs at these swimming holes and always have an adult present when children are swimming as there are no life guards at these hidden gems
    • Go to Mary Jo Peckham park in Old Katy
      • This is a great park with everything you and your kids could want!
    • Go to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
      • No this is not in Katy, but hey it’s so close you HAVE to go!
    • Check out the more personal Katy Rodeo
      • While not as big as the Houston Rodeo, Katy sure does have a lot of fun with it!
    • Attend the Katy Rice Festival
      • The festival has great food, music, and vendors that are all a part of Katy Heritage
    • Go to the Grand Parkway Farmer’s Market
      • Every Saturday morning local farmers and merchants give you the chance for fresh from the farm goods
