Any Texan worth their salt knows no road trip is complete without a trip to Buc-ee’s. The mega-convenience store is a Texas staple we all love.
Now Katy residents don’t have to go on a road trip to get some of that famous beef jerky. That’s right! Katy City Council approved the Katy Development Authority’s plans to build a Buc-ee’s travel center at the northeast corner of I-10 and Cane Island Parkway.
The massive travel center will be 50,000 to 60,000 square feet of Texas goodness. Not to mention 100 gas pumps! That’s right, read it again if you have, 100 GAS PUMPS!
We do have a wait, but it’s not going to be too long before we see that giant beaver and the countdown signs. Construction will begin this summer with a opening goal of summer 2017.
